~Don't forget to visit DACKEL PRINCESS this week and TNChick of course.~
OK so I've had a rough week. Haven't got to blog, hardly. Feelin' burned-out, tired, frustrated, overwhelmed. I need to learn to take baby steps at home, and not be so committed at work.
I need to realize I'm not the only person responsible for the successful delivery of our project. Everyone has a responsibility for their own tasks. If they don't get them done, despite my follow-up, then so be it.
If it affects the schedule or causes risk to the project, I just need to call it out to those that care or can try to influence and not stress out over things I cannot directly control. I do feel the need to do some CYA'ing though, because I don't want it to come back to me later and be told, well you didn't tell us that so-and-so did / did not do this.
I just can't believe the lack of being able to see the big picture by some senior in the project team and some above the project team who just want everyone to play nice in the sandbox and don't want to hear about problems because they themselves are already overwhelmed and therefore are no support to me.
Had a good long talk with an associate yesterday though that has the same principles and work ethic as me and it was really good to get her perspective. We had a few good laughs about things which really helped and said, we need to talk together more often. She is a great ali. (Meaning supporter - I can't seem to spell that word - is that right?)
OK so I don't like to go into details about work, so I've blabbed enough. Just wanted to give my readers some perspective on my recent moods that I have added to my page from www2.imood.com and to explain why I haven't been blogging or visiting. I miss it but you can't do everything! Right?
Didn't get to play SPF Friday which looked like it was going to be a really fun one this week, but one that you'd have to put a lot of thought into. Ya okay neither did Kristine but we'll blame Shawn for that! LOL
Have a great weekend everyone!

ReplyDeleteAwesome photo...jealous that you've seen the E. Tower. And everything that goes along with it.
ReplyDeleteI know, in a small, internet challenged way, what you are going thru at work.
It's hard to work well and play well with others. Especially when there are hidden agendas, backstabbing, lying f*ckwits around.
Sorry for the foul language.
*cringes and blushes*
I really hope you have a good weekend and a better week.
♥Pam
