So I've been slowing down on the amount of posts I do.
Also the amount of time spent blogging, although I still do blog a lot. I've commented before about how I was using some of my Christmas vacay time to get my house in order. That's gone well. Okay well not finished, but well.
That has crept into my blog time but for good reason. The other reason why I've "tried" (see me doing the double handed quote?) to cut back some is because hubby is "expressing his dissatisfaction" (read complaining) about the amount of time I spend doing "it".
He'd rather be spending time doing the other "it" with me. Not gonna happen! LOL At least not for the length of time I spend blogging!!!
So I'm trying to be more "balanced" in my blogging, chores, quality family time which is an incredible ideal. Can't say I love it but I do love my family so I'm trying to make the most of it.
I still feel like I have an untenable list of things in my head that I want to write about.
I also think that I do my blogging as a refuge, an escape. That includes playing with gadgets (check out my new Meez pic on my sidebar), photos, making videos, teaching myself html, problem solving my html goofs, and reading and responding to peoples blogs. I love doing all those things which should be reason enough alone to want to blog, isn't it?
More on why and what I want to escape from on another day.
My goal for tonight is to get caught up on my reads in bloglines and hit the sack early. It's cold here, I had a busy day (but I got my run in!) and I'm tired.
Laters, internets.... and big smooches

Balance is good - blogging is better hehehe
ReplyDeleteYes, balance is good. Wish I had some :)
ReplyDeleteSorry I've been MIA! I'm trying to get caught up as we speak :)
hmmmmm...maybe THAT'S why I'm single? Yep, OK, that's the story I'm going with. I'm single because I BLOG. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to think that's why I'm still single as well.
ReplyDeleteBlogging takes so much time.Time I could be wasting elsewhere..
Blogging makes you single? I can't remember if I'm single or not- too busy blogging! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love your new Meez look- with a "Snap" shirt even!
Balance is for the unimaginative! :-) (Just kidding!!)
Escape-now that is a possibility! I still attest that getting it out on the blog is cheaper than therapy. (Though I'm doing that too.)
You have a good rest and I'm still laughing about Pool Boy and how he feels you should be spending your time. :-) Hee hee!
Good luck balancing all of that. I'm still trying to figure out the balance!
ReplyDeleteI have a rule about doing it. Okay, I have several rules about doing it
ReplyDeleteI don't mind doing it if I can go home and blog about it.
What? You're not combining blogging and doing it? We always does.... Haven't you noticed how strange some posts are? That's when .... hits the keyboard of mistake...*lmao*
ReplyDeleteAh, that meez-thing, I've been thinking of checking it up and tried the other day, but they seemed to have some problems then, so I have to go back later.
BTW: Come on over and see my flaming new blog look!!!!
I blog a lot right now because I have the time! But with a job in my forecast I am sure it will slow down a bit. But I have never felt a big pressure to blog or not blog. Hubby and I are both together in the same room on our computers all the time and talking back and forth. We share with each other and "it" is never a problem!
ReplyDeleteBut family balance is a big issue and does require one to make adjustments for it! You just do as you have to and visit when you can. I do understand!
I fully agree with you. Put your chastity belt on and blog !
ReplyDeleteFortunately Mr. Gattino has a lot to do either watching TV or sitting also in front of his screen and ... not to forget he has to feed the cats all five min. So it doesn't bother him at all that I spent the whole day (or almost) here finding new stuff, learning htmls etc etc. I am retired, so I can do what I want with my time, he, he !
Balance is a very good thing.. that's why i blog at work !! hahahaha.. I'm such an ass!
ReplyDeleteBut uhh... sadly, it's true.
my husband has the same complaint about me. We actually realized we should both cut back on interneting when one night, there I was on the couch with the laptop and across the room was my husband with his laptap (a real american couple, huh!), in silence, typing away, separately. sigh. blogging time cut.
ReplyDeleteFInding balance is a noble endevor.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to try...
Which makes it even more noble. ;)
Steve~
I always say I'm going to stop blogging at a decent hour and go to bed . . . never happens. What time did you end up turning off the computer?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comforting words regarding missing my mother. Sounds like we both needed a hug that day...sending you one too.
ReplyDeleteBlogging is very therapeutic for sure.
Take care,
Connie
I blog during the day and do "it" at night.
ReplyDeleteWow...balance. :-)
Tell your hubby to back off...we need you in blogland.
oh, by the way! love your "Office" recaps, and I also "borrowed" your mood finder on your sidebar, thanks!! it's cute! I mentioned them on my web site -- I swear I'm not a stalker. lol!
