Saturday Photo Hunt

Photo Theme. Join the blogroll. Grab the Scavenger Hunt code.

This week's word is "COMMUNITY"

I chose this picture not because it is especially good. Not because it's almost Christmas, but because, to me, it represents 'Community'.

This picture was taken on a school band trip to a school for learning disabled children. You see the students being entertained by my daughter's school band (Grade 7 & 8's) with Christmas Carols and other music which they thoroughly enjoyed. Some of the kids got to help with the percussion for one song and take turns directing the band.

I've included a few extra bonus pictures from the day, to give you the full feel of community that I experienced, as did my daughter, that day.

P.S. Our neighbourhood is supposed to have a 'community' garage sale today but it's raining! My idea of fun does not include having a garage sale, but especially if it's wet out.

Yes, many different meanings of community -- I like yours very much. I went in a different direction, too.

I think those are awesome expressions of community as well.

It is always cool when you can touch someones life by giving them something special to remember and cherish like that.

Very nice choic for the theme! It truly is community - at it's best. How wonderful of the school who have those children do wonderful things as such.
