I don't believe it's the same deer the second deer is larger.

But they both are beautiful creatures! I love coming across deer. You are so lucky to come across two in two days and with a camera!!

Happy Saturday!

I love deer... Such beautiful animals...

I am looking at the first one though and I swear it looks as if it has a long mustache..lol

They look similar to me. Great shots.

The eyes are different....

not the same deer at all....

I don't think I can tell, unless I was there. One is closer to the camera than the other..

Anyway, great pics, happy Saturday!

Nothin' like seeing a deer out in the wild, is there?

I think they are different deers... =o)

Great picture!

Great shots! I enjoy seeing deer, I'm usually the first to spot one (or many together!). It's too hard to tell if they are the same deer or not .. different angles and lighting make one look a bit bigger but who knows.

My photos are up on odd planet and tricia's musings now.

Beautiful photos! We have deer wander right through our yard every day -- but I can never get pictures of them! I need a better camera! (bigger lens)

I love deer, but not in my yard as they devour fruit trees! I would say the chances are it's not as the second deer looks younger than the first.

My sister lives in the mountains of Colorado and she has deer coming up on her deck! Of course, she feeds 'em. That might explain that, huh?

Beautiful shots.

My S P Hunt is posted.

I see a lot of deer on my daily commute, too. I love deer...I'm like a kid at Christmas every time I see one even though they're a pretty common sight around here :))

Great meerkat shot! I love those meerkats.

My PH is up, too. Come check out my crew of critters :)

Oh! My mouth dropped open at those pictures! They are such beautiful creatures! A friend & I were walking in the woods several years ago. I had my 35mm looking for nature shots. My friend spotted a deer laying in the cool shade & when we both took off our shades (stupid mistake) & the deer saw our eyes, they jumped up & BOLTED at once! It was like thunder! There were about 8 of them. I focused my camera in on the spot where they were & it was about 50 feet away. It was awesome!
Love the meerkat too. Our little one loves Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet. :)
Thanks for coming by to check out my photos! :)

What cool pictures. I love that you have your camera with you coming home from work. I keep saying I'm going to start taking my camera with me, but I always forget.

I love deer so I think these are cool!

Carmen - I took the meerkat shot at Tampa Zoo last year. I do watch Meerkat Manor from time to time as I enjoyed watching them for quite awhile at the zoo too!

Thanks everyone for your comments. Glad you're liking the bonus Meerkat shot. Dawn ~ I'm gonna add my rooster one for you too!

When I used to live in Connecticut, we'd have deer come into our backyard all of the time. It was so neat. All I get now in my yard are bunnies and squirrels. What great pictures you posted.

Anonymous said...

Maybe they were twins and they were doing the twin-trick of trying to convince you that they were the same one?

Anonymous said...

doe a deer, a female deer :)

thanks for visiting me today!

Wow, lucky shots of those deer! Love meerkats, and that rooster is very colourful, too.

Have a great weekend. My photo is up.

Girlll!!
Beautiful White Tail. Amazing. What faces. Did you know deer are cousins to goats?

Meerkats make me laugh. One of our cats sits up like a meerkat and her front paws are just like theirs.

Pretty Irish chickens.

Neat deer pics! No matter how many I see, it's always a thrill to spot another one in our field or driveway. I like taking my camera with me everywhere, too! :)

How very cool deer pictures. I enjoy them. There are just not many around in the desert. We would have to drive up north to see them. Thank you for sharing.

Anonymous said...

oh, that deer (or those two!) was a brave one, to stay long enough for you to stop your bike and grab the camera! And good pictures you got, too.

Thanks for visiting me :)

How cool that you bring your camera along with you on a bike ride. You're really thinking! They look a bit different to me, but I'm no expert. :-)

I've been really surprised to see deer many times in Indianapolis too.

Great Photo Hunt!

These are really neat pictures. I love the deer pictures - so beautiful. We see deer here quite a bit. My son . . . now he'd say those are probably too small for a-huntin! :)

Great group of pics. Thanks for visiting mine!

Wonderful photos! I don't know which I like the best: the deer closeup is amazin, but the meercat is so cute... and I have always been partial to chickens.
