It is done

My Dad is moved.

The boxes are not yet unpacked.

But the old house is clean.

I am exhausted.

I cried all day while I cleaned. It was so emotionally draining.

So many memories in that house.

Watching AI but don't know if I'll be awake at the end.

It's awful when you have to empty a house especially in your case because you loved your father.

When mine died, I found myself in a foreign country (Germany) with other laws and a lot of furniture and other stuff to get rid off. I had no feelings about this house but it was a terrible moment in my life !

It's hard leaving a family home..
I still remember when we moved out of our big cardboard box into the wooden shipping crate we now live in..

We moved my grandfather out of his house a couple of years ago and it was very sad... I have been by the house once and it's so weird.

I don't know if you actually lost your father or had to move him because he could no longer care for himself. However, you're a good daughter and I know he would be proud of you.

aw yeah, end of an era

I remember when we finally moved out of our childhood home after 15 years and that was pretty traumatic. fortunately memories go with us!
