I had a great Mother's Day. It was much better than I expected since I was kinda worried about how I would feel today all week. It is my first Mother's Day since my mother's death.
Hubster brought me coffee and a cinnamon bun in the morning. (He always brings me coffee in bed ~ I'm way spoiled!). He got me a beautiful MUM plant and made a great card.
Isn't it great that he forgot to put the word world on the sentence? Wait, maybe he was going to put house? Maybe I am the best Nama (= Nana concatenated with Grandma ~ after all, I am a grandmother to a dog!) in the whole house! I am the only Nama in the whole house. He was keeping his options open.
Do you think he spelled amazing wrong on purpose? (amassing) I think he's trying to get me back to church. Maybe he thought today would be the day. I'm goin', soon, but I have to get to confession first.
Here's a gift certificate for a pedicure from my #2 daughter. Funny story about that. She works at the SPA and we've been trying to go for a joint pedicure session together to spend some mother-daughter time together but they keep switching her hours so we've had to reschedule the appointment 2 or 3 times. You probably can't read it but her last line in the card says that if my toenails start to hurt waiting for the pedicure then I should go ahead and cut them. haha I will get Pool Boy to do that tonight. He gives great pedicures, just not the polish thingy! I would rather do that and wait until we can go together. Which means I won'tbe able to model my new shoes for you yet! Got those from daughter #1 who took me to lunch and then shoe shopping! Hee! It's all about the shoes ain't it? Which reminds me, when I was with her in Syracuse for her Irish Dance competition, I bought myself a new toe ring. I will model it with the shoes after the pedicure. Yes, Mama's got herself and new pair of summer shoes, Bethy!
I am the luckiest nama & mama in the world!
