Monday Memories - Booby Talk

In Grade 7, I walked through a doorway to be greeted on the other side by a boy in my class with his hand sticking straight out and landed on my boob. That's not the worst of it. He squeezed it and it hurt.

You know when you are just developing and you have these marble feeling nodules on your chest. Then, he retorted "Nice falsies, {insert lastname here}".

I was so hurt physically and emotionally that he thought that what he felt was kleenex in my bra and it hurt like hell to boot!!! His name was Doug McLean. I will never forget it.

You don't forget a hurting booby squeeze overnight you know. I hope he googles his name and finds this post. I think it actually was an accident but his callous comment to me really hurt.

So what do you men think? (Don't be shy!)

Was he really trying to cop a feel and it was all set up or did I actually embarrass him by running straight into him that he had to interject such a cruel comment?

We are very very sensitive about such things in that age, I hate all the commenting on mine in that age. Even from grown ups - how could they? *shaking my head*

Ooops, I hope it isn't too painful to see my blog header when you visit me.... But that's another squeeze... *lol*

Boys really are very immature and he sure showed you how so that day! I don't recall a boy ever trying to cop a feel as I was growing up but they sure were callous in the remarks they made! Made me feel very dirty and I hadn't done anything, so I do understand how this feeling left you feeling! I will have to check back and see if any "men" can answer your question! Mine is up!

My own father was sitting in the living room and he looked over at me and in a loud nasty voice said to my mother, "Oh for God sake get that kid a bra. She looks like a cheap slut with her boobs sticking out like that!".
I was 12 years old and still playing with Barbie dolls and all these years later that comment still hits a nerve inside of me.
I remember running upstairs to my room and crying for hours and hours. And worst of all, my mother never cam eup to console me.

I have no clue what some men would think. But I know one thing for sure, if it was me he did that too. I would have made him eat the ground after I kicked him in the balls! I grew up with alot of boys around, so I was taught how to defend myself. and it helps to have Uncles coach the boxing team. :)

Still no men chiming in! LOL

ICL please come back to my site and see if you can make the big pictures pop up this time. Just run your cursor over them. I think I have fixed the bug and need feed back. Thanks so very much!

Boys are stupid, especially at that age. He was probably embarrassed so thought he should do something to embarrass you. It's an awkward age for everyone.

Mrs L - I think parents / people these days are more sensitive to kids in this manner than in our day. So some things do change for the better LOL. And you know I love your banner on the top of your blog! I was even thinking of entering the Oct boobiethon pictures for breast cancer awareness but didn't get my girls together (so to speak)!

Debbie - yes I'm anxious for more comments from men too! So far only Steven has taken me up on it. Yay Steve!

Mist - That reminds me of a poster that my daughter has on her door "Boys are stupid. Throw rocks at them." Apparently Steven agrees with you.

MB - Oh my dear girl, I can understand how you felt. I'm sure you forgave your father but as I said above, I can't see a man (father) behaving that way these days.

Ma - I like you're style. I was one of 4 girls so I was not used to dealing with boys or for quick comebacks either!

Tammy - I heard that's now his middle name. Doug Butthole McLean.

Debbie - yup I'll be back over soon!

Steven - so you're reaction was much more favourable I assume. LOL I'm glad she made your day!

LLB - And did he inadvertently fall onto the tracks?

Lazy Daisy - I think you are right, but let's trash him anyways! lol

Thanks for your feedback. Keep it coming and guys - we're all ears!

I suspect it was just a mistake that required a snappy comment to cover his embarassment. No doubt, in his mind it was forgotten by the following day. People often dont realize who hurtful some little incident might be - we all carry around such baggage - stuff that other people just would'nt really understand.

Hey, no one was supposed to know about the tracks. Shhh...

Sounds like what we call an on-purpose in my house.

He also sounds like an a$$...but you know, that's just my 2 cents worth.

The male gender sucks. Period. I don't know why they do it, they just do. I know as a mom we try to teach them better, but for some reason they return to their natural settings and become animals.

Okay, that was not anonymous above... That was me, I'm sorry I thought I had set up the name. To many things going on and I can't think.

Chelle - LOL - I'm glad you can laugh about it now. Reminds me as a young adult goofing around with my work friends at lunch. We were talking about weight lifting and strength training and I lifted up my clenched bicep and said to a guy co-worker "Feel my pecs". The whole table burst out laughing, I was so embarrassed but it was very funny. I now know my muscle names better.

Mat - Long time no feel ... oops I mean see. That's what I was afraid you would say :) Thanks for popping in buddy.

NN - no! I can't picture you being an idiot at that age!!!

Mick - I was giving him the benefit of the doubt like that too at first. You're probably right.... nah! ... but thanks for visitin'!!!

ll - your secrets safe here on the internet. No worries.

TKW - You call it an 'on purpose' at your house. At ours it's called a bear attack, especially when you are pawed so much you are woken up in the night.

Charmed - slow down and breath... hope the new job's goin' well!
