I love these photos of my first cousins, once removed. (gotta get that correct, ya know!) They are the children of my first cousins in Ireland. I have six of them and there all boys. Each of my 3 first cousins had 2 each.
They are all such characters and fun and I miss them. They got along fabulously with BatGirl when we were there. I love their names too!
It's been two years now since I saw them and of course they have changed alot. Hopefully they will be coming to Canada to visit us soon!
This is my fav that captures the innocence of youth so well.

OK this is Breandain (BROWN-DAWN - don't ask) and his brother Gearoid (GA-ROAD - ya how do they get these pronounciations from those spellings? sheesh!) is in his mam's tummy! (Ya and they say Mammy there, or Mam, not Mom or Mum)

Cian was always haming it up for the camera. I had to put this one in of Cahill with his funny face and holding the Spiderman toy I gave him. He was delighted!

It's funny how we think our own kids and relatives kids are so cute because we know their personalities so well. I just hope I have been able to capture some of it in these pictures.

(I am one who obsesses about the right name for relationships, too. Because of the way the generations work in this family, my son is around the same age as his first cousins' children. Everyone calls them second cousins, but they are first cousins once removed.)

Beautiful children with lots of spunk I bet! I love the names, when I was pregnant with Ian I looked for an Irish name. Ian was about all I could figure the pronounciation too and it also coincided with my name Shawn (my mom's fault)
As for the Blog Roll I am honored and I think I would fit well within the confines and description of crazy (just ask Terry after my outburt at him this morning). Thank you!!

Deb - ya that's all boy grandchildren for my aunt. I'm hoping Brendain's mam will have a 3rd and it will be a girl. I don't think there's any hope for the other 2 cousins to have any more.
Jenny - I love them too but I could never get away with those really different ones here in Canada. I have enough trouble with my youngest who is Seana with an accent on the e which I can't type here. (pronounced Shaw-na). She is often called at drs offices etc. Sea-anna. Which actually is appropriate because she loves the Sea.
